I would like to work through PrismaWorx. What do I need to do?

What do I need to take with me to my introductory interview at PrismaWorx?

Take an up-to-date CV and a valid identity document with you to the interview. A valid identity document is a passport or identity card. A driving licence is not a valid identity document. When you start working for PrismaWorx, you should always have your identity card with you.

You should also take your BSN (Citizen Service Number) and a bank account number (IBAN) with you.

Why is there an introductory interview at the office?

We want to get to know you. We will use the details that you fill in on the registration form to find a suitable job for you. The more information you give us, the better!

Which information will I receive when I start my new job?

When you start working for PrismaWorx, we will first welcome you at our head office in Stramproy. There you can get to know our intermediaries and find out more about your job and the work you will be doing.

The brochure ‘Working for PrismaWorx’ includes practical information and will help you to get to know the organization. We also give you all the documents and forms that you need.

I have a friend who also wants to work for PrismaWorx

That’s good to hear! PrismaWorx is always looking for new colleagues. Ask your friend to fill in his/her personal details and to upload his/her CV via the website. We will then contact him/her as soon as possible!

Can I start working straight away after I arrive in the Netherlands / Belgium?

PrismaWorx will do its best to make sure you can start working as soon as possible. However, you will first have to meet a number of administrative obligations. For example: you will need to apply for a social security number (a Citizen Service Number (BSN) if you are in the Netherlands or an INSZ number if you are in Belgium), open a bank account (and let us know the IBAN), and register with the appropriate authorities so that you are allowed to work and undergo a medical examination if applicable. While you are waiting for these things to be finalized, PrismaWorx will arrange accommodation for you, if you like.

Do you also provide accommodation?

All PrismaWorx employees have the option of using our own accommodation facilities. All the accommodation is carefully selected, complies with all the legal requirements, and is certified by the Dutch Foundation for Flexible Housing Standards (Stichting Normering Flexwonen, SNF) and the Dutch Association of Temporary Employment Agencies (ABU). This means that all the rooms and facilities comply with or exceed the applicable standards.

Can I choose where I live?

PrismaWorx offers its employees accommodation during the period of their employment with PrismaWorx. PrismaWorx decides where you will live. The general principle is that you will live as close to your work as possible. Transport to and from your work will be arranged from your accommodation location. Naturally, you can also find and rent accommodation yourself. From the moment that you start renting somewhere to live yourself, it becomes entirely your responsibility.

Will PrismaWorx arrange my transport?

Once you have arrived in the Netherlands and have been welcomed at our head office, PrismaWorx will arrange transport to your accommodation. When you start working, transport to and from your work will be arranged centrally by PrismaWorx. You can also travel to your workplace yourself. Ask one of the intermediaries about the options.

Which jobs are available through PrismaWorx?

PrismaWorx has a wide range of job vacancies for production employees and other types of employees in the food, poultry, transport, and logistics sectors. Many of our clients are active in the meat processing industry, but the work available also includes activities such as cutting and processing vegetables and meal preparation. PrismaWorx is also active in the field of logistics and transport. So there are lots of possibilities!

Which work will I be doing?

During the recruitment and selection procedure, we will describe the work as clearly as possible so that you know what to expect. Once we have welcomed you at our head office, we will give you more details about your job and the rules that apply at your work location. We also let you know for which client you will be working and the start date, working hours, and address. At the work location, you will receive a more detailed explanation of your specific activities.

Am I insured for health care in the Netherlands / Belgium?

Anyone who lives and/or works in the Netherlands or Belgium is legally obliged to take out health insurance. When you start working, PrismaWorx will register you with a health insurer that charges reasonable premium payments. That way, you are assured of good basic health care. If you will be working in the Netherlands, your health insurance premium will be deducted from your salary. If you will be working in Belgium, your health insurance premium will be collected directly by the insurer.

You may also take out a different health insurance policy if you prefer. You should then give PrismaWorx a copy of the document demonstrating your registration with your insurance company. If PrismaWorx does not receive this copy, you will continue to be insured through the PrismaWorx collective health insurance.

Which nationalities do the people working for PrismaWorx have?

We have people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures working for PrismaWorx. Most of our employees comes from Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Poland, but of course employees of all nationalities are welcome at PrismaWorx. After all, it not their background but their qualities that matter to us!

To ensure the best possible communication, it is important that employees of PrismaWorx have at least some knowledge of the English or German languages.

What does it cost to register with PrismaWorx?

You can register with PrismaWorx free of charge. Then we will try to find a suitable job for you with one of our clients. Do you want to register now? You can do so using this form.

What is the procedure after registration?

Once you have registered with PrismaWorx, our intermediaries will contact you as soon as possible. When they have found a suitable job for you, you will be invited for an introductory interview. After this interview, you will hear straight away whether you can start working for us.

We will then take care of a number of administrative matters and you will be given a contract and the keys for your accommodation and/or car. We will also register you with a health insurer so that you are assured of good health care if you need it. If applicable, you will be given suitable work shoes. PrismaWorx will supply you with any tools and personal protective equipment you may need for your work.
Naturally, you will also be given information about PrismaWorx, our house rules and rules of conduct, and our client’s rules. You will also receive information about the importance of hygienic and safe working practices.

If you start working for one of our Belgian clients, you may need to undergo a medical examination, after which you can start your new job straight away. We will arrange transport to your accommodation. On your first working day, you will be accompanied to your work location (where applicable).

I have a new telephone number / e-mail address. What should I do?

If your contact details change, please use the direct message app to let our intermediaries know straight away.

Do I need a bank account?

Yes, you will need a bank account (with an IBAN) in your own name so that we can transfer your salary into your account. A joint bank account is also permitted.

Make sure that you arrange a bank account (and know the IBAN) before you go to our head office. If you have not been able to open a bank account yet, we can help you to open one.

Please note: If your bank account details have changed (including your IBAN), tell our intermediaries straight away.

I have question about my salary slip. Where can I find more information?

If you have any questions about your salary slip, you can contact one of our intermediaries. You can reach them using the direct message app and by telephone. We also have a regular ‘Drop-in day’ (Tuesdays) at the office; see also the brochure ‘Working for PrismaWorx.’

Who will arrange my work clothing, shoes, and other work-related materials?

You will need suitable work shoes for your job. You can bring your own work shoes or borrow a pair from us. You should arrange this at the office straight after your introductory interview.

PrismaWorx will supply you with any tools and personal protective equipment you may need for your work.

Does PrismaWorx work fully in accordance with the rules?

Yes, PrismaWorx strictly observes the applicable laws and regulations in both the Netherlands and Belgium. Our employees are very important to us. That is why we also have the SNF and SNA quality marks and are affiliated to the Dutch Association of Temporary Employment Agencies (ABU). You can find more information about our ABU membership and our other certifications here.

Where can I find my annual statement?

Once a year, we send an annual statement to all of our employees. An annual statement is a financial overview of an employee’s salary details over a whole year or over the period that he or she has worked for PrismaWorx. You will receive your annual statement from us by e-mail. If you have access to the PrismaWorx Employee Portal, you can also find it there.

Please note: we only supply an annual statement once every year, so please keep it in a safe place.

Where can I find my salary slip?

You receive your salary slip from us by e-mail. If you have access to the PrismaWorx Employee Portal, you can also find it there.

It is your responsibility to make sure we have the correct e-mail address for you, so please let us know about any changes straight away!

When will I receive my salary?

Every week, PrismaWorx makes payments in the form of an advance or a salary payment. This amount is transferred to your bank account by Friday at the latest. Remember that a transaction between two different banks can sometimes take a little longer. The definitive remuneration – or the remaining balance of your salary – will be paid every month, around the 10th of the month.

You will then also receive the corresponding salary slip, which we will send to your personal e-mail address and / or make available in the PrismaWorx Employee Portal.

It is your responsibility to make sure we have the correct e-mail address for you, so please use the direct message app to let us know about any changes straight away.

Why so I need an e-mail address?

Communication with PrismaWorx’s employees takes place mostly by e-mail and using other media. For example, PrismaWorx will send your payslip to your personal e-mail address every month. We also use your personal e-mail address to give you access to the PrismaWorx Employee Portal and send you information or request information from you.

It is your responsibility to make sure we have the correct e-mail address for you, so please use the direct message app to let us know about any changes straight away.

Which rules apply at PrismaWorx?

Besides our general rules of conduct, we also attach great importance to respect for each other. In fact, this is one of the core values of PrismaWorx. We believe it is very important that everybody, regardless of their background or country of origin, is treated equally. Respect for our clients and the world around us is also enormously important.

We also have a number of basic rules. Dealing in drugs, violent behaviour, committing theft, or arriving at work under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs are all strictly prohibited. Contravening one or more of these rules will result in immediate dismissal. PrismaWorx will also report any criminal offences to the police.

All employees must always respect and comply with the rules that apply at the work locations. You will receive and sign a copy of these internal rules when you start working at PrismaWorx. Failure to comply with these rules can lead to suspension or even dismissal. This also applies to the house rules at the PrismaWorx residential location.

Do you provide training?

PrismaWorx likes to invest in its employees by providing training. In addition, we offer career opportunities and we like to develop talent. That is why we founded the PrismaWorx Academy. Together with our employees, we examine the possible options, what best suits your wishes and talents, and how long it would take to achieve your goals.
